JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Art Programs Coordinator
Full-Time (40 Hours/Week) - Babylon, NY
Salary: $41,080 in 2026 ($20.74/hour)
General Description: Art Programs Coordinator (full-time, non-exempt) manages and coordinates BACCA’s programming with a focus on fine arts classes, virtual programming, and performing arts.
BACCA follows the Town of Babylon Annual Holiday Schedule.
Full-time employees are compensated for Town of Babylon Holidays.
Additional Paid Personal Holiday Hours Annually: 56 as of 1/1/2026
Employee receives overtime compensation for hours in excess of 40 weekly.

Key Qualifications & Experience:
• Experience with arts programs and cultural programs
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Computer literate, knowledge of online forms and desktop publishing
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. (Equipment)
• Experience with visual editing/production software and live audio technology preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Some experience in graphic design and knowledge of printing requirements, etc. is a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate art classes and workshops, communicating with art instructors, students, and BACCA staff
• Curate arts exhibitions, including the creation of virtual galleries
• Maintain art classroom inventory and organization
• Prepare art instructor and performer contracts for review
• Maintain class and workshop rosters, tuition
• Create printed and digital promotional & marketing materials, including art class brochures, flyers, etc.
• Assist in social media content creation, marketing, and communications
• Communicate with BACCA committees regarding needs, attend committee meetings when necessary
• Manage and field organizational emails and correspondence
• Assist in guiding organizational vision and mission
• Coordinate and oversee artist-centered initiatives such as the Rotating Arts Program, artist features, interviews, and BACCA Artist Registry
• Assist in coordinating events, such as receptions, performances
• Assist in the management of the BACCA Arts Center, including regular building maintenance, calendar maintenance, and operations
• Assist in coordinating annual events such as the Long Island Bluegrass & Roots Music Festival
• Social media promotion/navigation
• Assist with public relations
• Other duties as required
