JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Position:  Art Programs Coordinator 

Full-Time (40 Hours/Week) - Babylon, NY

Salary:  $41,080 in 2026 ($20.74/hour) 

 

General Description:  Art Programs Coordinator (full-time, non-exempt) manages and coordinates BACCA’s programming with a focus on fine arts classes, virtual programming, and performing arts.

 

BACCA follows the Town of Babylon Annual Holiday Schedule.

Full-time employees are compensated for Town of Babylon Holidays. 

Additional Paid Personal Holiday Hours Annually: 56 as of 1/1/2026 

Employee receives overtime compensation for hours in excess of 40 weekly.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Experience with arts programs and cultural programs 

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills 

Excellent written and oral communication skills 

Computer literate, knowledge of online forms and desktop publishing

Must be able to lift 40 lbs. (Equipment) 

Experience with visual editing/production software and live audio technology preferred 

Ability to work independently 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred 

• Some experience in graphic design and knowledge of printing requirements, etc. is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate art classes and workshops, communicating with art instructors, students, and BACCA staff 

Curate arts exhibitions, including the creation of virtual galleries 

Maintain art classroom inventory and organization 

Prepare art instructor and performer contracts for review 

Maintain class and workshop rosters, tuition 

Create printed and digital promotional & marketing materials, including art class brochures, flyers, etc. 

Assist in social media content creation, marketing, and communications

Communicate with BACCA committees regarding needs, attend committee meetings when necessary 

Manage and field organizational emails and correspondence 

Assist in guiding organizational vision and mission 

Coordinate and oversee artist-centered initiatives such as the Rotating Arts Program, artist features, interviews, and BACCA Artist Registry 

Assist in coordinating events, such as receptions, performances 

Assist in the management of the BACCA Arts Center, including regular building maintenance, calendar maintenance, and operations 

Assist in coordinating annual events such as the Long Island Bluegrass & Roots Music Festival

• Social media promotion/navigation

• Assist with public relations
