May 9th - Erasure Poetry: Finding Poems from Existing Words
Found poetry is a poem that takes an original piece of text and changes it in some poetic way. Erasure is a type of found poetry that blocks out some of the original words to make the remaining words into a poem. Explore different ways poets have discovered to remake meaning out of texts. 
 

June 13th - Love? Poems
Some poems are clearly love poems. Some poems try to be love poems. Some poems claim to be love poems, but really, are they? Discover different ways to say, and also maybe not say, "I love you" in a poem.
