Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts is pleased to announce its December 2019 schedule for our Rotating Artists Program. This program is a wonderful venue for artists and photographers to promote their talent and creativity for the public to enjoy. It gives local businesses the opportunity to partner with the artists to showcase their work.


Our scheduled artists and their locations for the month of December are as follows:


Luann Johnson is a self-taught artist who uses acrylics as her primary medium. She loves painting the outdoors, nature, landscapes and wildlife. Her art may be seen at Amityville Library, Corner of Oak & Johnson Streets, Amityville, NY 11701.


Henry Clausner is a talented sculptor who creates his work out of clay, styrofoam and hand carved wood. His whimsical art features playful characters and animals that will delight adults and children alike. His creations may be viewed at the BACCA Arts Center, 149 N. Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst, NY 11757


Irene Bacchi is a prolific artist who works with watercolors, pen and colored pencil. She is also a fine art photographer. Her art will be displayed at Babylon Library, 24 South Carll Avenue, Babylon, NY 11702


Joanna Barbolla is a self-taught artist who uses acrylics, pastels, varnish, spackle & sparkles as her mediums. She enjoys creating eclectic and vibrant pieces of art. Her creations may be seen at Copiague Library, 50 Deauville Ave., Copiague, NY 11726


Anne Cognato is a talented photographer who uses her camera to created photographs of gardens and landscapes. Her creative photographs may  be viewed at Deer Park Library, 44 Lake Ave., Deer Park, NY  11729

Rotating Art Program

The Rotating Arts Program is designed to provide artists with different business venues for display each month. Bacca artists will bring and hang their work at participating businesses on the first day of the month. The artist’s work is then given exposure to different audiences in the community.

Artists interested in participating will please send (2) photographs representative of their work to the Bacca office at:

These photos will not be returned and will be used solely for the rotating arts program and will remain on file.
