Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts is pleased to announce its March 2020 schedule for our Rotating Artists Program. This program is a wonderful venue for artists and photographers to promote their talent and creativity for the public to enjoy. It gives local businesses the opportunity to partner with the artists to showcase their work.


Our scheduled artists and their locations for the month of March are as follows:


Barbara Spizzirri is a talented artist who uses watercolors, oil and acrylics to create works featuring nature and flowers. Her art may be seen at Amityville Library, Corner of Oak & Johnson Streets, Amityville, NY 11701.


Carol Quinn Gandarillas is a prolific artist who paints representational landscapes and florals, using oils and watercolors for her mediums. She enjoys capturing the light and details of nature. Her work may be viewed at the BACCA Arts Center, 149 N. Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst, NY 11757


Joan Sicignano is a talented artist using watercolors, acrylics and oils as her mediums. She enjoys painting still life, seascapes and the beautiful beaches of Long Island. Her art will be displayed at Babylon Library, 24 South Carll Avenue, Babylon, NY 11702

Bernice Rausch enjoys painting a variety of subjects that include human figures, flowers, blue jays, still life and portraits. Her chosen medium is acrylics. Her work may be seen at Copiague Library, 50 Deauville Ave., Copiague, NY 11726


Melissa Maiello’s art includes large scale charcoal drawings, including seascapes and landscapes. Her art may be viewed at Deer Park Library, 44 Lake Ave., Deer Park, NY 11729

Rotating Art Program

The Rotating Arts Program is designed to provide artists with different business venues for display each month. Bacca artists will bring and hang their work at participating businesses on the first day of the month. The artist’s work is then given exposure to different audiences in the community.

Artists interested in participating will please send (2) photographs representative of their work to the Bacca office at:

These photos will not be returned and will be used solely for the rotating arts program and will remain on file.
